Paralegal and Office Manager Jessica Thompson is a versatile and valuable member of the Newton Barth team. Jessica has substantial experience in the legal industry as a paralegal and is a former director of operations which combined with her management role with Newton Barth gives her a valuable perspective on the law and business.

Her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis has given Jessica a deep knowledge of the field of criminal law as well as how to develop an effective defense and how best to support the firm’s attorneys – and in turn the firm’s clients – as they work diligently to provide clients with the best possible legal representation and an exceptionally high level of service.

As a lifelong St. Louisan with experience at a mid-sized regional firm based out of St. Louis, Jessica has significant experience with and knowledge of local courts, judges, and opposing attorneys, making her a truly valuable asset to Newton Barth’s attorneys and clients. Since joining the firm in 2020, she has swiftly become highly skilled at working in the firm’s fast-paced, often intense environment, and is a key factor in the firm’s successful representations, whether in criminal, employment, civil rights, or defamation matters.
